Job summary

College of DuPage invites qualified candidates to join as Adjunct Faculty in Culinary - Baking/Pastry. This in-person teaching opportunity supports student success across lab and classroom settings.

Flexible schedules may include evenings and weekends; candidates must meet required qualifications and commit to a multicultural environment. Remote teaching is preferred but in-person presence is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate's degree in the content area is required.
• 5 years industry experience as pastry chef or chef is required.
• Food Service Manager's License is required.
• This is for an in-person only teaching opportunity.
• Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.
• These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
• A pre-employment background check at the Colleges' expense is required.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct Faculty instructors ... are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings; courses may be conducted in various delivery modes (face-to-face, online, hybrid, blended).
• Adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation and timely submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
