Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in Maryland is hiring for entry-level Team Members to perform customer service, stocking, and sanitation duties.

You will help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting store environment while following SOPs and supporting store programs. No prior retail experience required. The wage range is $17.00–$25.40 per hour, with Whole Benefits and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of food production and techniques.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn suggestive selling and product differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Weighs, prices, and packages customer orders.
• Follows cash handling procedures related to the service venues.
• Monitors product quality and freshness and ensures proper product rotation.
• Completes product spoilage and transfer records as needed.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs promptly, and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work and shopping environments; follows safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour day.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
