Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Edgewater, NJ, is seeking a Bakery team member to support receiving and preparing products, stocking shelves, and helping maintain appealing displays in line with WFM standards.

You will interact with customers, emphasize friendly service, and participate in opening/closing duties, safety compliance, and price accuracy, with opportunities to learn product knowledge and grow within the store.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean and well stocked with front-facing products.
• Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, ready to work; attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service and model suggestive selling; answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace; ensure equipment is kept to WFM standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing signs are accurate.
• Report safety hazards and violations promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
