Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a store team member to maintain clean, appealing displays and stock shelves, while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor inventory, assist with sampling, and follow safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reliability, ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to the company mission of natural foods.

• No formal education required beyond basic duties.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers promptly and courteously; models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment to safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
