Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Bakery/Packager Team Member in Friendswood, TX. You will help prepare fresh bakery items daily by following recipes, wrapping, labeling and storing merchandise to ensure the freshest products for members.

You’ll juggle tasks in a fast-paced environment while helping members with bakery orders. Support the bakery team, operate baking equipment per daily production needs, follow sanitation guidelines, and use handheld tools to improve sales and service quality.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to members.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicates with team members; flex to needs of the business in other areas.
• Be an Expert: Prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes; wrap, label, and store merchandise; ensure food safety and inventory management.
• Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage with members; use handheld tech for decisions on production and product quality.
• Be an Owner: Maintain work area per policies; ensure quality and date control; secure fragile items; eliminate waste; assist members with purchases; label and store merchandise properly.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by delivering high-quality service and products; demonstrate energy and commitment.
• Complies with policies and ethics; uses Open Door Policy; execute business processes and adapt to changes.
