Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Bakery/Packager Team Member in Torrance, CA to help Members by preparing daily bakery items, following recipes, wrapping, labeling and storing merchandise for freshness. You will juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a member-first mindset and aiding in other areas as needed.

You will operate baking equipment, ensure food safety, utilize handheld tools for decisions, and uphold cleanliness and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicates with teammates; flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Be an Expert: Prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follows recipes; wraps, labels, and stores merchandise; ensures food safety, sanitation, and inventory practices.
• Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; uses handheld devices to support production, ordering, training, and quality.
• Be an Owner: Maintains work area per company policies; ensures quality/date control; protects fragile items and reduces waste; assists members with purchases and proper packaging.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Promotes the department and club experience by delivering high-quality service and products with energy and commitment.
• Compliance and Process Management: Adheres to policies and ethics; applies action plans and open-door policy in daily operations.
