Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Bakery Manager in California to lead the bakery team, drive daily operations, manage profitability, and oversee buying, merchandising, and labor. You will ensure health and safety standards and maintain strong vendor partnerships.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and customer service, with experience in retail baking preferred. You will review performance, coach Team Members, and support store programs while upholding WFM values and policies.

Qualifications

• Retail experience: 24+ months including 12+ months of team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Holds ATLs, supervisors and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Builds a positive work environment of teamwork, mutual respect and morale.
• Accountable for monitoring and achieving sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Maintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with department leaders and vendors.
• Keeps aware of competitors and industry trends.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Directs Team Members to meet customer needs and questions.
