Giant Eagle is seeking a Bakery Team Leader to guide the bakery team in designing cakes and creating festive platters for events. You’ll lead and coach team members, ensure smooth operations, and promote a respectful, inclusive work environment while focusing on guest satisfaction and product quality.

You will oversee staffing, training, budgeting, inventory, safety, and store performance, with a strong emphasis on leadership and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership or supervisory experience; proven performance as Peer Trainer or in-store champion
• Ability to interview, train and direct Team Members; manage budgets and inventory
• Strong knowledge of department products; maintain safety and regulatory compliance

Responsabilités

• Interview, select and train Team Members; direct the work of Team Members
• Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints; discipline when required
• Plan and distribute work; ensure safety and security of Team Members and store
• Manage the budget for your department or location; oversee inventory and shrink
• Oversee training to reduce turnover and improve efficiency
• Provide motivational leadership and foster inclusion and diversity
• Develop future leaders and nurture a positive team culture
• Set and reach aggressive sales and profit goals while reducing shrink
• Communicate with merchandising on promotions and team readiness
• Review store financials and historical reports to improve performance
