Job summary

Balls Food Stores, in partnership with Price Chopper, seeks a friendly Bakery Clerk to help create a welcoming bakery experience for guests. You'll package pastries, assist with selections, and ensure displays are full, clean, and visually appealing across a fast-paced bakery department.

Responsibilities include maintaining product presentation, assisting guests with selections and allergens, and operating POS systems. Prior bakery experience is nice but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly guest hospitality and maintain product presentation.
• Package, label, stock, and display bakery products.
• Prepare and bake items according to production schedules and standards.
• Operate POS systems and related equipment accurately.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise using FIFO methods.
