Job summary

Busch’s Fresh Market in South Lyon, MI is hiring for a Bakery Associate. You’ll manage bakery orders, develop and maintain appealing displays, and ensure fresh stock by front-facing, rotating, and checking dates.

You’ll follow health and sanitation standards, assist guests, meet department sales goals, and participate in trainings and meetings. This team‑oriented role rewards a strong work ethic and merchandising know‑how.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in bakery or similar role.
• Ability to learn knowledge of all bakery products.
• Strong merchandising and guest service skills.
• Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word and email.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for bakery orders including pre-sells and supplies.
• Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Maintain fresh displays and stock by front facing, rotation and date checks.
• Ensure proper tag and sign maintenance.
• Control and record shrink; meet shrink goals.
• Execute merchandising notes and ad directives.
• Read/respond to emails and directives; complete projects from manager.
• Prepare, plan and execute period end inventories.
• Open, mid and closing duties; attend required trainings.
