Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and production methods, ensuring consistency and quality. You will measure, mix, shape, and bake products, and decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts to delight customers.

You will organize a clean, safe work area, rotate and label ingredients, and ensure cases are well-stocked and visually appealing.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and production methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products and decorate items like cakes and specialty desserts.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area and rotate and label ingredients.
• Assist customers with product questions, take special orders, and help create a positive experience through friendly service.
