Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand.
• Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about various products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person with a pleasant attitude.
• Sets up special-order tables and builds bakery displays; may write on cakes.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and clearly labeled; handles damaged/near-expiry items.
• Assists with production of breads and pastries following logs and recipes.
• Maintains sanitation and follows cleaning schedules to meet health and OSHA standards.
• Occasionally assists with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries with proper equipment.
• Helps minimize shrink and reports shortages or overages to management.
