Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep bakery department well stocked and appealing, greet customers, make suggestions, answer questions, and resolve concerns courteously.
• Take customer orders over the phone or in person, determining preferences for size, flavor, and appearance.
• Set up special-order tables, bakery cases, and displays; may write on cakes.
• Ensure merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and properly handled if spoiled or near expiration.
• Assist in producing baked goods, adhering to recipes and logs.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness, following schedules and health standards.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, operating equipment if trained.
• Help minimize shrink, report shortages, and ensure department function through teamwork.
• Use all PPE provided and assist in other departments if needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; no experience required. Able to perform duties with or without accommodation.
