Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support product quality, shelf life, and reformulation initiatives through analytical testing and data analysis. You will collaborate with QFS, R&D and Baking Technology teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure compliant solutions.

Travel up to 80% for plant trials, validations, and cross-functional project support. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience with analytical testing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience with analytical testing and food microbiology (yeast & mold).
• Knowledge of bakery systems, shelf-life control, and ingredient functionality.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab) and DOE (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Analytical & Technical Support: Conduct testing on finished products and ingredients (pH, water activity, texture, shelf life).
• Product Development & Validation: formulation development, optimization, and scale-up; bench-top and plant trials; validate ingredient systems.
• Data & Continuous Improvement: Analyze product and process data, perform statistical analyses, generate actionable reports.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with QFS, Operations, R&D and other teams to resolve issues and support reformulations.
