Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Food Science Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Saint Paul, MN. The individual will perform hands-on testing of frozen, dry mix, and wet mix products, document results, and support QA processes across production, sales, and customer quality teams.

The role includes lab evaluations, routine sample testing, and maintaining records for audits. The position is onsite with growth potential and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in quality assurance, quality control, or food science related testing in a bakery environment.
• New grads in Food Science/Biology/Chemistry/Biochemistry welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from various product types and ensure traceability.
• Weigh, thaw, bake, fry samples and document test conditions and results.
• Conduct pH, titration, ATP, allergen swabbing, water activity and sensory testing.
• Enter data into the testing system and maintain quality records.
• Ensure GMP and HACCP compliance and support continuous improvement.
