Job Summary

The Bakery Program Senior Coordinator provides leadership, coordination, and operational support for the Embrace Bakery Café Micro-Credential program. The position oversees program implementation, instructional support, student success initiatives, personnel supervision, compliance, and community engagement. The coordinator serves as a liaison among faculty, students, university departments, community partners, and workforce stakeholders to support program quality, continuous improvement, student learning, workforce readiness, and program growth.




  • Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Embrace Bakery Café Micro-Credential program, ensuring effective delivery of instructional, operational, and student support activities.

  • Supports instructional delivery by collaborating with faculty and instructional staff to implement hands‑on learning experiences, reinforce curriculum objectives, and maintain instructional quality standards.

  • Promotes student success by coaching and monitoring student progress, documenting outcomes, supporting skill development, and implementing strategies that improve engagement, retention, credential completion, and workforce readiness.

  • Collects, maintains, and analyzes student and program data to evaluate effectiveness, prepare reports, support institutional reporting needs, and recommend continuous improvement strategies.

  • Supervises, trains, schedules, & evaluates at least one Program Coordinator, student assistant, graduate assistant, or other support personnel. Provides ongoing guidance, establish performance expectations, and support consistency in program operations.

  • Supports onboarding and training for staff, student employees, and volunteers by developing procedures, training materials, & operational best practices.

  • Coordinates daily program operations, including instructional logistics, classroom & production scheduling, food requisitions, inventory, purchasing, equipment readiness, & facility utilization.

  • Manages program budgets and operational expenditures; monitor resource utilization; assist with budget planning; and recommend cost‑effective strategies to support program efficiency.

  • Develops and maintains operational policies, procedures, & documentation to support consistency, safety, compliance, and program effectiveness.

  • Ensures compliance with university policies, food safety regulations, risk management requirements, accessibility standards, and other applicable guidelines.

  • Serve as a liaison with internal departments, community organizations, industry partners, and workforce development stakeholders to support experiential learning, employment opportunities, and program visibility.

  • Coordinates off‑site instructional activities, community‑based programming, and partner‑site operations, ensuring consistent program quality across multiple locations.

  • Supports recruitment, outreach, marketing, special events, and community engagement efforts that increase program participation and strengthen industry and community partnerships.

  • Represents the Embrace Bakery Café program at meetings, workshops, conferences, and community events as assigned.

  • Assists with strategic and long‑range planning efforts related to program growth, curriculum enhancement, workforce development, enrollment, and expansion of micro‑credential offerings.



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.



Desired Qualifications


  • Experience working with student populations.

  • Practical background in bakery, café, or hospitality operations, paired with working knowledge of commercial kitchen compliance, food safety regulations, and relevant industry certifications.
