Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Production Scheduler to lead the planning, implementation, and issuance of production schedules across assigned manufacturing areas. You will resolve schedule conflicts, coordinate with vendors, and ensure orders are filled on time.

The role requires experience in MRPs, scheduling, and strong coordination with purchasing and merchandise planning to respond to changing trends and promotions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of purchasing experience required.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• MRP/order scheduling experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production schedules to meet all customer orders.
• Manage inventory and ordering of raw stock, finished goods and packaging supplies; coordinate with Purchasing and vendors.
• Track orders and communicate with vendors/distributors to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve discrepancies and expediting deliveries as needed to maintain schedules.
• Update pricing changes from vendors and negotiate pricing as needed.
• Collaborate with Merchandising Planning for coverage of trends and promotions and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Oversee new item setup at the plant with PD, R&D, IT and Regulatory/Compliance.
