Job summary

SusieCakes (Manhattan Beach) seeks a Bakery Production Manager to lead in-house baking, quality control, and team development for scrumptious cakes and pastries. The role requires early shifts and close collaboration with the culinary staff to maintain high standards.

You will train staff, oversee daily production, and ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed. A strong background in bakery operations and leadership is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary, Baking or Pastry Arts preferred.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a team environment.
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in production of custom baked goods. Develop and trains skills in mixing, baking, and building.
• Assign daily production to team members and ensure completion
• Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards

The Production Manager leads the culinary operation by means of baking and building of delicious cakes and other baked goods in house. They are in charge with ensuring the highest quality baked goods are produced in a timely manner by means of training, supporting overall safety, and developing the culinary team in the area of production management.

Shifts may begin as early as 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM
