Job summary

VG's Grocery in Davison, Michigan is seeking a part-time Bakery Associate to bake, fry, decorate, package, display and stock bakery products. You will follow production schedules, maintain clean shelves, and assist in receiving and stocking merchandise.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred), 1 year of retail experience, basic math skills, and strong attention to detail. This role offers a supportive team and a friendly, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred)
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Detail Oriented

Responsibilities

• Bake and fry according to production schedule (80% of time)
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery products
• Fill, rotate and merchandise bakery shelves, cases and displays
• Notify Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise
• Familiarize with all products, noting price, taste, preparation and use
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-stocked department
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer needs
• Additional responsibilities as needed
