Job summary

Levain Bakery in Newport Beach seeks a Porter to support daily operations with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and safety. You will help maintain a spotless store, assist with light food prep and packaging, and ensure equipment and surfaces meet health codes.

The ideal candidate has prior custodian or porter experience in F&B or retail, is reliable, and available mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will work as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced bakery.

Qualifications

• Previous custodian or porter experience in F&B or retail preferred.
• Open availability: mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk for an 8-hour shift; some locations may require stairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead with curiosity and compassion by caring for co-workers and building connections.
• Work collaboratively to ensure cleanliness in the store.
• Communicate openly with team members and management.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas, restrooms, and workspaces throughout the shift.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bakery displays and equipment.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain anti-fatigue floor mats.
