Job summary

Walmart Maplewood is hiring for a Bakery/Packager associate to prepare fresh items daily, follow recipes, wrap and label merchandise, and keep the area clean for members. This role involves fast-paced multitasking and strong service to ensure the freshest items for families.

You’ll use handheld tools to assist with production decisions, maintain quality, and assist members with purchases. Benefits include comprehensive health and other programs.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with team members; be flexible to work in other areas.
• Be an Expert: Prepares bakery merchandise by operating baking equipment; follows recipes; wrap, label, store merchandise; ensure food safety and inventory.
• Be a Techie: Uses handheld devices to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; adapt to new tools.
• Be an Owner: Maintains work area per policy; ensures quality and date control for bakery items; prevent waste and help customers with purchases.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club; models high quality service and energy for the work.
• Complies with policies and standards; follows open door policy; apply ethics in business processes.
• Completes work by using policies, data, resources; coordinate with managers, coworkers, customers; meet deadlines and adapt to change.
