Job summary

Maker's Pride in Terre Haute, IN, is seeking a baker to ensure products leave the oven properly baked and meet specifications. The role involves communicating issues to the mixing supervisor, keeping the area clean, and following GMP practices.

Responsibilities include setting up ovens, adjusting weights, sampling colors, and assisting with changeovers. The position requires reading measurements, basic math, and ability to work overtime including weekends.

Qualifications

• Good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read scales and thermometers; understands units of measurement.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Check production schedule for products being run on assigned oven(s).
• Set up the oven for the item being produced per prescribed procedures.
• Obtain the correct product color sample and adjust dough/weights as needed.
• Assist machine operator at start-up and/or product changeovers.
• Record product check information on required forms at prescribed times.
• Perform oven adjustments as needed to produce a quality product.
