Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Chicago is seeking a team member to support bakery, coffee, and juice merchandising while maintaining high standards of customer service. You will help manage inventory, assist with promotional displays, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role emphasizes accurate ordering, proactive replenishment, and collaboration with vendors and store leadership to meet sales targets and uphold WFM quality goals.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Proficiency with basic math and merchandising standards.
• Able to follow procedures and maintain health and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes products through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Requests and ensures proper signage.
• Controls spoilage/shrink; achieves turn goals; participates in inventory.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Ensures orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Maintains positive working relationship with vendors.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes and controls product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in conducting inventories.
• Maintains financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and trainings.
