Job summary
Insomniacookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager in Marlton, NJ to lead and develop the bakery team while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and guest experience. This role blends hands-on operations with talent development and administrative ownership, acting as a reliable extension of the BOM.
The ABOM will help recruit, train, coach, and coach hourly staff, stepping in to run bakery operations in the BOM's absence and driving improvements across scheduling,
Qualifications
- 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
- Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
- Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute all core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
- Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
- Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
- Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets.
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Deliver coaching and real-time performance feedback.
- Own operations in BOM's absence and uphold accountability.
