Job summary

Insomniacookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) to develop the next generation of bakery leaders. This role blends hands-on operational excellence with talent development and team leadership.

The ABOM will execute BOM-level tasks in the absence of the BOM, coach hourly staff, and ensure quality, safety, and guest experience while fostering a culture of accountability and growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute all core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
• Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets.
• Lead and develop the team in the absence of BOM; ensure onboarding and training per company standards.
