Job summary

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking an energetic Bakery Team Leader to oversee daily bakery operations, ensure high-quality baked goods, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will supervise and develop bakery staff, manage inventory, and uphold safety and presentation standards across breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or supermarket bakery environment.
• Leadership experience with the ability to train, manage and motivate a team.
• Experience in baking, cake decorating and bakery production preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to follow and execute programs and goals.
• Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bakery operations including production, merchandising and sales performance.
• Schedule, train, supervise and develop bakery staff for strong team performance.
• Oversee ordering, inventory and replenishment of bakery supplies and products.
• Ensure consistent product quality, freshness and presentation standards.
• Perform and oversee baking, cake decorating and production as needed.
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation and compliance standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to requests or special orders.
• Drive department goals, productivity and overall performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
