Job summary

Price Chopper is seeking a bakery associate to support daily operations in a retail store setting. You will assist with baking, merchandising and presenting bakery products while ensuring quality and availability for customers.

The role requires maintaining a clean work area, following sanitation rules, and helping the bakery team to deliver excellent service. You may train staff and help manage inventory with guidance from the bakery manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to manage others and follow through to achieve objectives.
• Demonstrates fast, friendly, helpful customer service.
• Maintains clean, organized work station per 5S standards.
• Ability to learn financial aspects of bakery dept. including paperwork and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Assist bakery manager with day-to-day operations in a retail store environment.
• Prepare, bake, merchandise, and present bakery products for sale.
• Run the department in the manager's absence and ensure product availability and quality.
• Train and develop bakery associates to meet corporate standards of performance.
• Adhere to sanitation regulations and company policies; assist with inventory and shrink control.
