In the absence of the department head, you will function as manager and drive merchandising, pricing, and training efforts. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and meeting store objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful bakery operation experience (merchandising, ordering, inventory, pricing).
• Complete training in bakery operation.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and follow instructions.
• Ability to work a schedule based on store needs.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide an open, morale-boosting atmosphere and excellent customer service.
• Lead and coordinate bakery team in manager's absence.
• Meet merchandising, sales and profit objectives with the team.
• Train associates per company policy and procedures.
• Schedule work and manage payroll within budget.
• Proof dough, bake bread and pastries per guidelines.
• Handle special orders and customer inquiries.
• Maintain safety, sanitation and product quality standards.
• Rotate stock, monitor temperatures, and prevent waste.
• Address customer complaints to full satisfaction.
