Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the department, control inventory and pricing integrity, and ensure efficient daily operations. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, a passion for excellence, and a focus on guest service.

Responsibilities include guiding the bakery team, managing stock and rotation, preparing specialty breads and pastries, and training staff to uphold The Fresh Market standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, and/or culinary.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide accurate, timely service.
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests.
• Manage order guides, deadlines, and shrink/damage prevention.
• Receive and stock according to rotation standards.
• Slice and prepare breads, pastries, and convenient meals.
• Direct teams in proper receiving, stocking, and merchandising.
• Motivate and train team members on-the-job and via internal trainings.
