McKeever Price Chopper is seeking an experienced Bakery Manager to lead the bakery department with excellence. You will supervise staff, oversee production schedules for breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items, and ensure top quality and safety.

You will drive sales through product knowledge, mentoring, and strong customer service, while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant bakery environment. This role requires early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have proven bakery management or food production leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of bakery operations, food safety standards, and recipe compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and manage bakery team members, ensuring high standards for service and performance.
• Oversee production schedules for breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality control guidelines.
• Monitor and manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation.
• Support and execute custom cake orders, seasonal promotions, and merchandising displays.
• Drive department sales and profitability through product knowledge and team engagement.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with store leadership and team members.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of bakery staff.
