Job summary

Walmart South Jordan is seeking a Bakery Department Lead to drive sales and supervise hourly associates, delivering on the department's goals with strong bakery expertise. You will work with other team leaders to meet member expectations and uphold quality, safety, and company policies.

This role emphasizes ownership of production planning, training, inventory accuracy, and using handheld devices to make timely decisions.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred: Bakery production including decorating; Supervising associates; Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bakery department to deliver on the business plan and ensure quality, safety and policy compliance.
• Coach and train team members on production, recipes and new products.
• Utilize handheld devices and digital tools to plan, monitor production and respond to issues.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and workforce staffing to meet weekly bakery volumes.
