Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Baker for our Bakery department in Minnesota. You will prepare, bake, fry, and assemble bakery items to meet daily orders while upholding quality and freshness standards.

You’ll lead bakery clerks, manage production timelines, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper labeling. A strong focus on customer service and teamwork is essential to succeed in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; department training is helpful.
• Six months to one year of bakery experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service with a smile and assist customers in-store.
• Prepare, bake, fry, and portion bakery items; follow production schedules.
• Lead bakery clerks and supervise daily operations in the department.
• Check freshness, rotate stock, and ensure proper labeling and signs.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and equipment maintenance throughout the shift.
