Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets Inc in Missoula seeks a Bakery Lead to supervise daily bakery operations, bake a wide range of breads and pastries, and ensure shelves stay stocked with fresh products for the community.

You’ll lead a small team, train staff, uphold food safety and quality, and deliver friendly service. This full-time role offers weekly pay and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Previous bakery leadership or supervisory experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Food worker card or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pastries, pies, and related items to standard recipes.
• Interact with customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Package baked goods with attention to presentation.
• Keep bakery stocked and manage ingredient inventory.
• Lead bakery team; train and encourage staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and professionalism.
• Communicate production needs and priorities to management.
• Support teamwork and cover shifts as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Baking a wide variety of breads, pastries, pies, and more - all as delicious as they are beautiful.
• Interacting with customers, and serving them with a big smile - you're the face of our bakery department!
• Carefully packaging our baked goods, because presentation is as important as taste.
• Keeping the bakery department fully stocked, ensuring our customers always find their favorite treats.
• Managing ingredient inventory, ensuring we never run out of what we need to create our tasty goodies.
• Maintaining a clean and safe bakery - because nothing dampens the spirit like a messy kitchen!
• Providing day-to-day leadership to bakery team members, helping ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Leading by example in customer service, product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and overall professionalism.
• Supporting team members through training and encouragement to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Communicating effectively with management regarding inventory needs, production priorities, and department concerns.
• Be ready and willing to take on additional tasks as needed - we're a team, and we help each other out!
