Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Myrtle Beach seeks a friendly bakery team member to provide guest service and handle bakery department tasks. You will greet guests, prepare products for sale, maintain quality, and assist with cake decorating when asked.

You will work with a fast-paced team, lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, and stand/bend for extended periods while communicating guest needs to management.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (baking, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform clerk function of cake decorating.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keeps supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs front end duties to insure “no noticeable wait” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
