Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a friendly Bakery Associate to deliver guest service in our bakery department. You will greet guests, assist with product preparation, pricing, and display, and support front-end duties to keep customer wait times minimal.

The role requires the ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally, a team-focused attitude, and strong communication. Training provided; this is a fast-paced, welcoming retail environment in Concord, NC.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (baking, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Perform clerk function of cake decorating when requested.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform front end duties to ensure a ‘no noticeable wait’ standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
