Job summary

Hen House is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to create a welcoming bakery experience for guests. You will assist with packaging, labeling, and displaying pastries while ensuring freshness and food safety. This role involves baking tasks, inventory management, and providing helpful product recommendations to guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: experience in grocery, retail, or food service.
• Preferred: knowledge of food safety standards (certification a plus).
• Preferred: experience with baking or kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly guest hospitality and maintain department standards.
• Package, label, stock, and display bakery products.
• Prepare and bake items according to production schedules.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following sanitation guidelines.
• Assist guests with product selection and allergen information.
• Operate POS systems and scales accurately.
• Monitor inventory and communicate product needs.
• Collaborate with teammates to support store operations.
• Follow company policies and participate in trainings.
• Remain productive during slower periods by restocking or supporting other areas.
