The Alpha Baking Company is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead all QA, sanitation, and food safety activities at the bakery manufacturing facility. You will drive compliance with FDA, FSMA, OSHA, and third-party audits while overseeing QA and Sanitation teams.

Reporting to the Plant Manager and Regional Food Safety Manager, you will manage HACCP/FS Plans, CAPA, documentation, pest control, and cross-functional initiatives to improve processes and outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of food safety, quality assurance, and/or sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably bakery or high-volume production.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Manager; experience managing QA and/or sanitation teams and developing staff.
• HACCP and FSMA certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and third-party audit schemes (SQF, BRC, etc.), as well as AIB inspection procedures.
• Experience scheduling, training, and directing cleaning crews; experience with a unionized workforce preferred.
• Proficient with personal computers and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage all QA, sanitation, and food safety activities at the bakery facility.
• Coordinate and lead customer, regulatory, and third-party audits; maintain audit readiness.
• Develop and maintain HACCP and Food Safety Plans; manage CAPA processes.
• Oversee allergen controls, traceability, environmental monitoring, and supplier verification.
• Train QA, sanitation, and production staff on GMPs, safety, and quality procedures.
• Monitor budgets for QA and Sanitation departments and seek cost-effective improvements.
