Job summary

Family Car Group seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to design, troubleshoot, repair and install bakery equipment and related electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems in a distribution manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes safe operation in a production environment and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities include installing PLCs, maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems, powering electrical panels, and coordinating with teams to schedule repairs and updates

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Technical School Training (2 years) and/or related experience.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• EPA Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and install machinery and equipment.
• Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Discuss machine operation variations with supervisor to diagnose problems and repair machines.
• Install/repair electrical devices such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, starters, switches.
• Layout and maintain pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Install, program and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Maintain HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems.
• Service and repair material handling equipment.
• Monitor main electrical panel and troubleshoot as needed.
• Repair boilers and water heaters; manage water distribution systems.
