Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a Bakery Dispatcher in our California bakery team to ensure display cases are stocked and the department operates smoothly. You will assist customers, prep products, and maintain high standards for food safety and service.

The role requires knowledge of baking methods, experience with bakery equipment, and the ability to mentor colleagues in a fast-paced environment. English proficiency and legal work authorization in the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Knowledge of baking methods and ingredients (Mexican, Central American, and American pastries).
• Experience using bakery equipment, ovens, and tools.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and mentor others.
• Basic computer and math skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: greet customers and assist with bakery and cake orders, in-store and by phone.
• Merchandising: stock and rotate bakery products to keep cases fresh.
• Product Preparation: prepare doughs and batters for breads, cakes, and pastries; weigh and price items.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: follow safety programs and health regulations; keep area clean.
• Team Support: assist coworkers, train when needed, communicate inventory needs.
• Operations: transport products, stock shelves, monitor signage and freshness.
• Compliance: follow company rules, safety guidelines, weights and measures, labeling accuracy.
• Other Duties: perform additional tasks as assigned.
