Job summary

The Save Mart Companies is seeking a Bakery Department Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service, uphold product knowledge, and maintain safe, clean bakery operations. You will greet customers, assist with questions, process special orders, and ensure accurate packaging and labeling of bakery items.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating, and merchandising bakery products, maintaining standards, and supporting event planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required.
• Six months of related bakery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products and safety practices helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with bakery questions and special orders.
• Weigh, wrap, label, and package bakery products for display.
• Maintain department cleanliness, stock, rotate products and manage replenishment to reduce waste.
• Provide product knowledge and event planning suggestions to customers.
• Follow department procedures and operate bakery equipment safely.
