Ideal candidates have basic math, communication skills, and at least six months of related bakery experience, with availability for varied retail hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of bakery experience preferred.
• Ability to operate bakery equipment and packaging tools.
• Strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a remarkable shopping experience by greeting and assisting with questions and special orders.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment and quality.
• Weigh, wrap, label, and merchandise bakery products to maintain freshness and appeal.
• Maintain department standards and product knowledge; suggest items to customers.
• Prepare baked goods according to guidelines; ensure proper food handling and safety.
• Communicate customer requests to management; follow department procedures.
• Operate department equipment and keep areas clean and safe.
• Support inventory control and minimize waste; assist with promotions and events.
