Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, focusing on profitability, expense control, merchandising, labor, and compliance. You will lead and develop Team Members, ensuring courteous, friendly, and efficient service aligned with store SOPs.

The role involves managing store layouts, achieving sales and labor targets, and maintaining strong vendor relations while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience
• 6+ months supervisory experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Adherence to health, safety and company policies

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and awareness of new products.
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures paperwork for vendor processing is complete.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Acts as point person in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters teamwork and positive morale.
• Responds to customer needs and directs Team Members accordingly.
• Trains and mentors Team Members to sustain high performance and low turnover.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
