Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Bakery Department Manager to lead daily bakery operations with an emphasis on quality, freshness, and exceptional customer service. You will oversee a skilled team, manage production planning, and drive store performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, food safety knowledge, and the ability to train and develop associates while promoting teamwork and accountability. Flexibility with shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• Bakery production and merchandising execution
• Labor planning and scheduling
• Sales performance, shrink control, and inventory management
• Food safety, sanitation, and compliance oversight
• Review sales, labor, and production data to inform departmental planning
• Train, coach, and develop associates at various skill levels
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot and cold temperature environments

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Bakery Department operations with high standards for quality, freshness, presentation, and service
• Foster a welcoming, customer-focused environment and resolve customer concerns and special orders
• Plan and execute daily bakery production based on sales trends and seasonal demand
• Execute merchandising plans, promotions, planograms, and seasonal programs
• Manage department sales, labor, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and shrink
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
• Hire, train, coach, and develop bakery associates while promoting teamwork and accountability
