Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations and management systems.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Spanish communication desirable depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory in your department.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition, and ensure all product is stored in appropriate areas.
• Manage a team that completes stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date rotation; handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department and store; know advertised items and deals.
• Communicate and execute weekly Flight Plan according to guidelines.
• Manage scheduling, labor, overtime, and payroll expense for the department.
• Implement Our Winning Recipe and model core values and competencies.
• Staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates.
• Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts.
• Attend daily huddles, manager meetings, and district/company level meetings.
• Maintain clean, stocked department and ensure food safety guidelines are followed.
• Develop and implement plans to meet company goals and KPIs.
