Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math and ability to perform basic calculations.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage stressful situations.
• Current food handlers permit required upon employment.
• Second language skills are a plus for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate information to associates about company, department, and job specifics.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume and ensure smooth operations.
• Train and develop associates on their performance and participate in appraisals.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and respond to questions about products.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to drive awareness.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute promotions with store management.
• Educate associates about ongoing promotions and impacts on the department.
• Prepare seasonal critiques and submit to supervisor.
• Assist in budget preparation, expenses, and profitability analysis.
• Schedule price changes and manage shelf tags and signs.
• Oversee inventory processes and train staff on CAO and stocking.
• Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs.
• Enforce safety procedures and report risks or incidents.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines and manage conflicts calmly.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
