Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
• Takes customer orders and decorates products, ensuring timely delivery of finished goods.
• Decorates cakes and other bakery items with various designs and recipes.
• Manages department inventories, tracks weekly sales, and orders supplies to meet demand and goals.
• Schedules Bakery associates, oversees training, evaluates performance, and coordinates shifts.
• Develops merchandising plans, monitors pricing and production amounts to meet financial goals.
• Maintains records of inventories, associate performance, sales and plans.
• Checks deliveries and invoices for accuracy; assists in unloading and stocking as needed.
• Controls department expenses, labor costs, and shrink; ensures correct recipes and freshness.
• Keeps bakery well stocked and customer-friendly; answers questions and resolves concerns.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and properly displayed; manages spoilage.
• May assist in production of breads and pastries; follows logs and recipes.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in the department; follows cleaning schedules.
