Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Establish performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Create an inviting environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Inform customers of specials and offer product samples.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
• Educate associates about current and upcoming promotions.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Assist in budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting.
• Schedule price changes and maintain shelf tags.
• Plan inventory processes and train staff on stocking and CAO (Computer Assisted Ordering).
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and logs are maintained.
• Support safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines; work well under pressure.
• Ability to follow directions and resolve issues with customers and business needs.
• Provide support to customers including minors and seniors as needed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
