Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment and follow company guidelines.
• Prepare foods per recipes and temperature logs.
• Measure, mix ingredients, and prepare items with appropriate utensils.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Ensure product quality, check sell-by dates, and take action.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs.
• Answer customer questions and maintain an inviting environment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
