Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers, including a smooth checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Support training of new team members and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Assist in department scheduling to boost engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by rotation and dating policy accuracy.
• Lead with food safety and safety compliance in daily operations.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays when applicable.
• Promote Meijer culture and a diverse, inclusive workplace.
• Operate registers and handle cash as needed; use powered equipment when required.
• Participate in period-end inventories and related tasks.
• May serve as Lead in other departments as needed.
