Qualifications

• Customer service experience required to create outstanding customer experience.
• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and follow QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size and prevent shrink.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates and take action.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain temperatures in cases/coolers.
